Marysvale

Marysvale has asked our club to come help support the city by doing a ride there. This is because of the big impact of the fires driving people away.

Monroe Mountain Trails that are not on the map

The Silver King Fire was a huge event currently having a major impact on the town of Marysvale. There is a cleanup effort in progress that has closed a few trails, but to say that all of the trails on the west side of town are closed is incorrect.

Sam Steed is now the Paiute County Commissioner. He is frustrated by the misinformation being spread about trail Closures. Reservation cancellations have hurt Marysvale businesses. While a few miles have been closed on the west side, hundreds of miles of trails are open to some amazing opportunities to ride.

Sam has invited those interested in supporting Marysvale to a ride on the open trails. He is serving a Dutch oven dinner on Wednesday evening at the Rocky Ridge Resort with salad, potatoes, etc. as a show of appreciation for those who will accept the invitation.

Sam will lead rides for two days on Monroe Mountain that don’t show on the map. He will also show us trails that only a local would know about on the Paiute Trails.

There are several places to stay in Marysvale that are close enough to make it easy to gather at the Rocky Ridge Resort:

· Rocky Ridge has eight cabins and plenty of RV sites

· The Pine Creek Cabins Resort has six cabins and three RV sites

· Moore’s Old Pine Inn has seven rooms at the Inn and eight old west cabins

· Rose Ranch Resort has three cabins and plenty of hookups

· Marysvale Motel 4-U has six rooms and a suite

· The Paiute Trails Inn has seven rooms and a suite

· South Forty RV Park has 2 cabins and 75 pull-through RV sites

· Lizzie and Charlie’s have four deluxe, seven primitive cabins, and three rental homes.

Contact Lynn Blamires at 801 200-4840 (quadmanone@gmail.com) to get on the list. I need to let Sam know how many are coming for food needs and the number of riders in the group.
