About the Event
Meeting time is at 9am sat Sept 23 at the Left hand fork trailhead GPS 41 38’ 22.23”N,111 42’30.54” W which is ½ mile once you turn off of Blacksmith Fork Canyon road at the Left Hand Fork turn off. Members doing trail clean up need to bring cutting tools, battery operated saws, (no chain saws) hand saws, pole saws, lopper cutters, hedge shears, and pruning shears. Wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, gloves, eye wear and good shoes. We will also put linseed oil on kiosks signs if you want to do that job, the FS will provide everything for that project. Bring a lunch and hopefully after lunch we will take a ride to see the beautiful country. Lets help the Forest Service they need us. There also is nice free camping right where we are working on a first come gets it. Left Hand Fork Trailhead is 65 miles from Kaysville and it takes 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The project consists of apply linseed oil to kiosks, and trail clean up which include trash collection and cutting back trees and brush along the trails. These projects will be at Blacksmith Fork Canyon near Hyrum, Left Hand Fork Trailhead and Richards Hollow Trailhead. Specific locations for staging I will have info next week that you can post.
